General Classroom Policies
- Health and Safety (In-Person Only): There are currently no restrictions. Our policies are subject to change as guidelines in Alberta change. Classes will be limited to 10-12 registered children (including siblings).
- Class size: Each regular in-person indoor class typically has between 5 and 12 registered children, plus their caregiver(s).
- Class Cancellation for low registration: A class with low registration may be cancelled or combined with other classes. Full refunds will be issued if families are unable to participate due to such changes. Additional classes may be added if needed.
- Missed classes: You can make up missed classes by signing up for open seats in another class if there are multiple offerings of your class during the semester.
- Class cancellations for weather or other events: We typically adhere with local schools in regard cancellations for weather or other events. Should schools close due to inclement weather or other events, in-person Music Together® classes will be cancelled. Classes cancelled due to teacher illness or teacher covid-19 isolation will be made up at a later date or families will be refunded.
- Switching classes: This depends on class availability. Please contact your teacher to inquire.
- Prorated classes: Music Together Pathways Music Therapy welcomes families to register for classes up until class 5 of the semester if space is available. We are currently offering prorated registration.
- Refunds: Refunds will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us.
- Eating in class: Please feel comfortable to nurse or bottle-feed your child in class. We request that you limit bringing food into classrooms while also recognizing that a sip of water and a small snack are sometimes helpful.
- Bringing unregistered older siblings to class: For in-person classes please make prearrangements with the teacher to bring older siblings or other children. The entire household is welcome to join Music Together Online.
- Bringing extra adults to class: Parents, grandparents, or caregivers are typically welcome to attend at any time. This policy is subject to change due to Covid-19 restrictions.
- Phones/photos/videos in the classroom: Please put phones away and participate actively with your child during classtime! We can arrange for opportunities for photos after class. Please ask other families if it is okay before taking or posting photos of them or their children.
- Class safety: We want to respect the rights of all participants to enjoy the classes and to participate safely. We want the children to be children so we will not ask you to limit their activity unless that activity compromises the safety of any participant, or compromises the rights of others to participate and enjoy. We may ask you to shadow your children, to keep an eye on sticks at times, or to playfully scoop them up and bring them back to your mat in indoor classes.
